What is Sevil Smile Clinic's Health Tourism Authorisation Certificate?
It is a Turkish Ministry of Health authorisation confirming that our clinics meet the government's competency criteria for treating patients travelling from abroad. It is required by law to treat international patients at all, and all three of our clinics appear on the Ministry's own published list of authorised facilities. It is not a JCI accreditation and it does not guarantee a treatment outcome.

Verify it yourself: the Ministry's own list
Rather than ask you to take a scanned document on trust, here is a stronger check: all three of our clinics appear on the Turkish Ministry of Health's own published list of facilities authorised for international health tourism. You can open that list yourself and search for the names below.

What the certificate says
The scanned document above was issued to one specific facility in the group, Özel Sevil Smile Studio Ağız ve Diş Sağlığı Polikliniği (our Antalya clinic) — not to the group as a whole, and not to the Istanbul clinic where international patients are treated. That is exactly why we lead with the Ministry's own list above: it is the evidence that covers all three clinics, including Istanbul.

What this certificate means
- It is mandatory, not optional — a Turkish clinic cannot legally treat patients who travel from abroad for planned treatment without it.
- It confirms the facility met the Ministry's competency criteria for international health tourism at the time of issue.
- It is issued to one facility as a legal entity, not to the group as a whole and not to any single dentist. For who is treating you specifically, see our dentists.
What this certificate does not mean
- It is not a JCI accreditation. JCI is a separate, voluntary accreditation that we do not hold. The two are easy to confuse from outside Turkey — our qualifications page sets out the difference in full.
- It does not guarantee a treatment result. No authorisation or accreditation does. What we actually commit to if covered work fails is on our warranty page.
- It is not an individual dentist's licence. It authorises the facility; each dentist practises under their own qualification.
What we are not showing you, and why: the certificate itself does not carry an issue date or an expiry date, so we are not stating one — inventing a date would be worse than leaving the field blank. If you want to confirm the certificate is current before you book, ask us and we will show you the original alongside your treatment plan.

What people ask about our authorisation
Is a Health Tourism Authorisation Certificate the same as JCI accreditation?
No. Ours is a mandatory authorisation from the Turkish Ministry of Health, without which a Turkish clinic cannot legally treat patients travelling from abroad for planned treatment. JCI is a voluntary, paid accreditation from a US-based body that audits an organisation's internal processes. We hold the Ministry authorisation — all three of our clinics appear on the Ministry's published list of authorised facilities, which you can check yourself — and we do not hold JCI. What does this authorisation actually cover?
It confirms the facility meets the government's international-health-tourism competency criteria. It is issued to the clinic as a facility, not to an individual dentist — see our dentists for individual credentials. Rather than ask you to trust a scanned document, we point to the Ministry's own published list, which names all three of our clinics and which you can search yourself.
Does the certificate have an issue date or an expiry date?
Not printed on the document we hold. We are not going to invent one. If you want to see the original before you book, ask us and we will show it to you alongside your treatment plan.
Does this certificate guarantee my treatment result?
No. It is a facility authorisation, not an outcome guarantee. What we actually commit to if treatment fails is set out on our warranty page.
