What This Is Actually About

Nobody books a flight because of a tooth

Losing most of your teeth is not really a dental problem. It is a list of small decisions you now make every day, and a shorter list of things you have quietly stopped doing.

The questions below are the ones we ask on the first call. Not because your answers are a diagnosis — they are not — but because they tell a dentist something a CT scan cannot: what this has actually cost you.

  • Do you decide what to order by what you can manage, rather than what you want?
  • Have you started eating on one side only, and stopped noticing that you do it?
  • Do you take your denture out to eat the thing it was supposed to let you eat?
  • Do you hear yourself around certain words on the phone?
  • In photographs, do you smile with your top lip down?
  • Have you stopped going to some of the occasions where photographs get taken?

If you recognised more than one of those, the honest read is that this stopped being about teeth a while ago.

Here is what we do with those answers. If you tell us you have already tried a denture and it never held, that changes the plan we write — not the price we quote. If you tell us the thing you want back is being able to eat at a table without thinking about it, that is a different treatment target from wanting a whiter smile, and it belongs in writing.

So when you send your case, tell us two things: what you have stopped doing, and what would have to be true for you to call this worth it. Then the plan we send back is built around your answer rather than our price list.

Not sure which treatment your case even needs? See what each one actually involves — including who it is not right for.

Patient Stories

Three people who made the trip, talking without a script

We did not write the answers in these videos and we are not going to summarise them for you underneath. Watch one at 2× if you like — what you are listening for is whether the person sounds like they are reading.

One thing worth saying plainly: these patients travelled from the UK and from Ukraine, not from the US or Canada. We are not going to put an American accent on someone else's story. What transfers is the treatment and the trip; the flight time does not.

Ten patients have filmed a story and signed a release. That number is limited by consent, not by how many people we treat — the group has completed 55,000+ treatments across its three clinics. Filming asks something of a patient that treatment does not, and most say no. See the rest of our patient stories.

Patient Evidence

What we can show responsibly

We can show filmed patient stories and the treatment-planning process; we do not use a smile photograph as a promise about your mouth.

Before-and-after photographs are useful only when the record behind them is complete: treatment date, photo date, written consent and the same photo conditions. Until those records are ready for every case we publish, the safer evidence is the part you can check now — named dentists, written plans, patient videos and warranty terms.

Three Questions

Ask us these three. Then ask them to every clinic you are comparing.

You are going to research this — you should. The problem with researching dental clinics is not that there is too little information, it is that every clinic answers a different question, so nothing lines up.

These are the three that actually separate one quote from another. Our answers are below. Take the same three to whoever else you are talking to, and ask for the answers in writing.

1. What is in the price — and what is not?

Our full-arch prices are quoted per arch: the implants and the fixed prosthesis for that arch. Upper and lower are two separate treatments, quoted separately.

  • Local anaesthetic
  • The temporary prosthesis, where the treatment plan calls for one
  • Sedation, which is arranged with a partner hospital and quoted individually after your consultation — we do not have a price for it on this page; ask your coordinator.

Not included: extractions if teeth still have to come out, any grafting the site needs, the opposing arch, your flights and accommodation for the treatment trip, and long-term maintenance — a fixed arch needs professional cleaning and periodic review for the rest of its life. The final figure is confirmed after a CT scan and an examination, not from the photos you email us.

The single most common misunderstanding in full-arch quotes is "full mouth". Ask, in writing, whether the number in front of you covers one arch or two.

How many years is the warranty, and what exactly does it cover?

Lifetime on the implant fixture — the titanium screw itself — for osseointegration failure and fracture. Five years on crowns, veneers and implant-supported prosthetics, for manufacturing or material defect, counted from the completion of your treatment.

Cover can be lost through smoking, untreated bruxism, and trauma or accident. That is the complete list and it is published on the same page as the cover itself, at the same size. Read the full terms.

A "lifetime guarantee" that does not name the component it applies to is worth a follow-up question, wherever you read it.

Aftercare in Writing

3. If something fails after I have flown home, what actually happens?

Contact the clinic by any route you already have and your patient coordinator takes it from there — there is no separate department to find. If it falls under the warranty, the revision can be carried out at any of our three clinics.

Who pays what:

ItemWho pays
Revision treatmentClinic
Accommodation during the revisionClinic
Flight to Turkey and backPatient

That third row is in the same table as the first two on purpose. And the limits, stated here rather than at the moment you need them: our terms cover revision work carried out by us, so an invoice from a dentist where you live is not reimbursed, and routine cleanings and check-ups at home are yours. If something hurts, see a dentist where you live first — do not wait for a trip. What happens after you fly home.

If a clinic cannot answer all three in writing before you pay, you have learned something useful for the price of one email.

Two Things You Are Probably Thinking

Let us say them before you have to

There are two questions almost every patient flying in has and almost nobody asks out loud. Unasked questions do not go away, they just decide quietly. So here they are, with our answers.

"Is it normal for this to cost so much less? What is being left out?"

It is a fair question and it deserves a straight answer: the difference is in what it costs to run a clinic here — wages, rent, laboratory work, and the absence of a US-style insurance billing layer — not in what goes into your mouth. The implant systems we place are the same ones your dentist at home would order: Straumann, and Astra Tech by Dentsply Sirona.

The way to check that claim rather than take it on trust is the warranty. A clinic cutting corners on components does not publish a lifetime fixture warranty next to a written exclusion list, because it would be paying for it later. Why treatment costs less here.

We should also say the unflattering half: we are not the cheapest quote in Istanbul, and we say so on our own pricing pages. There are lower numbers in this city than ours.

"And if something goes wrong when I am nine hours away?"

We are not going to tell you nothing will go wrong. Nobody can tell you that about surgery, and a clinic that does is telling you something about itself rather than about your case.

What we can tell you is exactly what happens if it does. You leave here with your implant record — system, reference and lot number, tooth positions, dates — which is the document that lets a dentist in Denver or Calgary identify what is in your mouth and order the matching part. Straumann and Astra Tech both have a substantial North American presence, so that part is orderable near you. If it falls under our warranty, the revision treatment and your accommodation are ours and the flight is yours, as set out above. And if something is painful or swollen, you see a dentist where you live first and tell us second.

Who This Is Not For

When we would tell you not to book a flight

This site has 46 pages and a fair number of them exist to say something other than yes. Turning a case away costs us the enquiry; publishing the list costs us several. We would rather lose you here than at the airport.

  • You need care staged over months, with local follow-up. Some plans need a dentist you can see every few weeks for a year. That is not something a clinic on another continent can be, whatever we quote you. Treatment at home is the right call.
  • You have an untreated infection or active gum disease. That has to be resolved first, wherever you are. We are not going to start an implant or cosmetic plan on top of it.
  • You are looking for the lowest number you can find online. We are not the cheapest quote in Istanbul and we say so in writing on our own pricing pages. If the lowest number is what is deciding this, we are the wrong clinic and you will be happier knowing that now.
  • You expect a diagnosis from a photograph. A photo — yours, or one from our before-and-after page — cannot tell either of us which treatment you need. That takes a CT scan and an examination.
  • A JCI-accredited facility is a requirement for you. We do not hold JCI accreditation. We hold a Turkish Ministry of Health authorisation instead, and we explain why that is a different thing rather than a lesser version of the same thing.
  • You cannot realistically travel back if something needs fixing. Our warranty pays for the revision treatment and the accommodation. The flight is yours, every time. Full-arch treatment normally takes two trips anyway — worth doing that arithmetic before you book the first one.

None of this is a disclaimer buried to cover us later. It is the same list we would want in front of us if we were the ones booking the flight. More on where we draw these lines: safety questions worth asking any clinic and what we do and do not hold in terms of accreditation.

None of the above apply to you?

Send your case and we will tell you what we honestly think — including if the answer is still no.

The people who would actually be treating you

Two names before the rest. Dr. Nurettin Tekeşin is the responsible manager of our Istanbul clinic — the legally accountable dentist for the facility, not a title on a website. Dt. Sevil Pekmezci founded the clinic; she was born with a cleft lip and palate and had eleven surgeries as a child, which is the reason she does this work and the reason she funds treatment for children whose families cannot pay for it.

Before the number means anything

What has to be in a quote for the price to be comparable

We publish every price, per arch and per unit, on their own pages — nothing is behind a form. But a number on its own tells you almost nothing, because two clinics quoting the same figure can be quoting different work. Full-arch treatment is priced per arch, not per mouth: upper and lower are two separate treatments.

  • Local anaesthetic — included in what we quote
  • The temporary prosthesis, where the treatment plan calls for one — included in what we quote
  • Sedation, which is arranged with a partner hospital and quoted individually after your consultation
  • Extractions, grafting, the opposing arch, flights and accommodation are not included, and we say so on every pricing page.

Your own figure comes out of a CT scan and an examination, not out of a table. Send your case and we will write it down. If you want the published per-arch numbers first: All-on-6 cost · All-on-4 cost · the full US comparison. Not sure which treatment your case needs? What people ask before they book a flight

Which of your three clinics treats patients travelling from the US and Canada?

Our Istanbul (Etiler) clinic. Antalya and Didim stay open for revision and follow-up care under the same warranty, but new international cases are planned and treated in Istanbul.

Can a full arch be finished in one trip?

Normally no. A temporary prosthesis is fitted first and the final one after the implants have healed, which takes months — so plan for two trips. Anyone describing a finished full arch in a single short trip is describing the temporary stage, not the finished result.

What do you need from me to put together a treatment plan?

A few photos or a recent dental X-ray, and a short description of what is bothering you and what you have stopped being able to do. You can start with our clinic-trained 24/7 AI assistant; then our team reviews the details and sends a written, itemised plan in English within one business day.

Does asking for a treatment plan commit me to anything?

Requesting a plan gives you a written estimate based on what you send us. You decide how to continue after you have reviewed it; the price is confirmed after a CT scan and an in-person examination.

Which implant and ceramic brands do you use, and what is under warranty?

Straumann and Astra Tech implants, and IPS e.max ceramics. The implant fixture carries a lifetime warranty; crowns, veneers and prosthetics carry five years — full terms on our warranty page.

Send your case — start with a written plan

Tell us the situation and what matters most to you — never dealing with this again, or getting it done fastest, or being able to eat normally at a table. The plan we write back is built around that answer.

  1. 01Send a few photos or a recent dental X-ray, and tell us what is bothering you and what you have stopped doing because of it.
  2. 02Start with our clinic-trained 24/7 AI assistant to prepare your case; then our team reviews the details and sends a written, itemised plan in English within one business day.
  3. 03Your first reply is a plan to review. You decide how to continue after you have it in front of you; if treatment at home is the better route, we will say that clearly. The price is confirmed after a CT scan and an examination once you arrive.

It does not have to be a good photo. A clear picture of your teeth, or a panoramic X-ray from your own dentist, is enough for us to tell you which treatments apply — and which do not.
